Advanced Rendering (8) Session
Students pick up where they left in Rendering Class and focus towards building a portfolio and designing collections. This course has a strong emphasis on ring designs and rendering rings with Top Front and Side views, pave settings, rendering phenomenal stones with proper pencil colors and proportions.
Pre requisite: Rapid Rendering
In this class you will learn how to:
Draw and render faceted gemstones and cabochons.
Illustrate surfaces, shapes and textures in white and yellow metal.
Make realistic renderings by understanding the behavior of light and shade.
Students will leave with renderings for their portfolio.
Classes are held Tuesday – (8) sessions

About the Instructor: Niyati Mehta was born into a family steeped in the gem and jewelry business for three generations. She honed her natural interest and flair for design by initially creating pieces for the family business and then by training in Mumbai, India, and in New York. She taught at Gemological Institute of America in Mumbai where she was a special consulting instructor for jewelry design and rendering. With 15 years of diverse experience, she now designs customized pieces with diamonds, color stones and pearls set in precious metals for private clients, and bridal jewelery for a firm in New York.
