Understanding color beyond the color wheel(1) Session
This workshop is part lecture and part lab. Students learn where color is derived from and the meaning behind their unique names. During lab time students will
review of the color wheel’s primary, secondary and tertiary colors as they learn how recreate these colors with paint to obtain desired tints and tones.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
- Understand the origins of color
- What is the meaning of names
- How to mix colors to create desired effects
- Review of the colorwheel

About the Instructor: Jenine Lepera Izzi studied art and design in New York City and Florence, Italy for many years. She has developed her own techniques in rendering jewelry designs. Her unique style of design is a culmination of training as an interior designer as well as a bench jeweler. Her work synthesizes her lifelong interest in design, a fascination with color and attention to detail that she brings into the classroom.
