Atelier 1
Jewelry Design Fundamentals
Jewelry Design Fundamentals introduces students to the essential techniques used to create realistic, professional jewelry renderings. Students learn how to accurately illustrate structure, proportion, shading, texture, dimension, and the surface details of jewelry designs.
The course explores how gemstones, precious metals, settings, reflections, light, and shadow work together to create a convincing three-dimensional image. These foundational jewelry rendering skills allow designers to clearly communicate their ideas before a piece is manufactured.
Students are introduced to traditional freehand jewelry design and rendering methods that have inspired professional designers for centuries. Through guided practice, they develop the technical precision and artistic confidence needed to create polished design presentations and begin building a professional jewelry design portfolio.

Atelier 2
Advanced Jewelry Design
Advanced jewelry design builds upon the skills developed in Jewelry Design Fundamentals, with a stronger focus on freehand jewelry sketching, professional rendering techniques, and jewelry collection development.
Students learn to create cohesive jewelry collections while building a polished design portfolio. The course places particular emphasis on ring design, including accurately drawing and rendering rings from the top, front, and side views.
Advanced techniques include illustrating pavé settings, rendering exceptional gemstones with colored pencils, creating realistic dimension and brilliance, and maintaining correct scale, perspective, and proportions. Students further develop the technical and artistic skills needed to communicate sophisticated jewelry designs with clarity and professional refinement.

Atelier 3
Jewelry Design in Gouache
Learn the traditional art of jewelry design in gouache through professional hand-rendering techniques used by the world’s finest jewelry houses.
In this private jewelry rendering course, students learn traditional European gouache and watercolor techniques to illustrate gemstones, precious metals, reflections, texture, light, and intricate jewelry details. Rich, vibrant colors bring each design concept to life, while carefully rendered gemstones appear luminous, dimensional, and realistic.
Gouache is a water-based paint known for its rich, velvety texture and ability to create solid, vibrant layers of color. When combined with transparent watercolor techniques, it offers the flexibility to produce both subtle luminosity and bold depth.
Students develop the technical and artistic skills needed to transform original jewelry concepts into sophisticated, presentation-ready renderings suitable for a professional jewelry design portfolio.

Atelier 4
Understanding CAD
Understanding Jewelry CAD introduces students to computer-aided jewelry design using 3Design CAD/CAM software, a professional program developed specifically for the jewelry industry.
Students learn how to create, modify, and visualize detailed 3D jewelry models while exploring the essential tools and features of the 3Design program. The course covers basic jewelry construction, design modifications, accurate dimensions, and the application of different metals, gemstones, colors, and materials on screen.
Each session combines instructor demonstrations with supervised hands-on practice, allowing students to apply key jewelry CAD design techniques with personalized guidance. By the end of the course, students will understand the fundamentals of 3D jewelry modeling and be able to create their first original computer-aided jewelry designs.
