The Gemstone Intensive provides a focused introduction to colored gemstones, with an emphasis on rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and a selection of important semiprecious stones.
Students learn how gemstones differ in origin, quality, treatment, rarity, pricing, and market position. The course also covers gemstone reports, industry terminology, common enhancements, identification considerations, and the factors that influence buying and selling decisions.
Through expert instruction and hands-on observation, students develop the practical knowledge needed to compare colored gemstones, understand their value, communicate clearly with clients, and make more informed purchasing and selling decisions.
