Understanding Jewelry CAD
Participants in this class are given an in-depth introduction to the 3Design CAD/CAM program. The focus is on understanding how the program works, building and modifying basic designs, and visualizing various colors and materials on screen. By the end of the course, you will be able to create your first computer-aided designs. Every class day features several hours of demonstration follow by supervised lab time.
Unearthing Color for Designers
This workshop is part lecture and part lab. Students learn where color is derived from and the meaning behind their unique names. During lab time students will learn how mix primary colors to obtain desired colors.
Jewelry may be created from gemstones and hard metals, but since ancient times, its beauty has been expressed through the soft hues and nuances of watercolor paints. For just as photo realism is necessary to display how light and shadow interact with a particular jewel and setting, watercolor rendering is needed to portray the more subjective aspects of the jeweler’s art.
Wine & Watches Workshop

This is an ideal class for all rendering and watercolor students and allows you to rendering in your favorite medium (colored pencils, paint, markers, etc.) Experience the watch design process with Eliza Kapitan, a 20-year professsional designer. Bring your friends and enjoy an evening of design and wine.
This class is for beginners who want to learn the basic fundamentals of jewelry sculpting. We will be focusing on the process of creating a basic forms of jewelry in Z brush. Starting from simple concepts, we will create a base mesh for our jewelry and move into sculpting tools.
